Our Poll Goes Weekly + Opera Alley

We're going to try something a little different. Instead of running a daily poll comprising two possible answers, we're going to instead run a Weekly Music Poll with more choices. We'll see how it goes.

This week we're starting at the toppermost of the poppermost and asking folks to vote on their favorite Beatles album. We've listed four choices, basically our favorites, and added an "other" box. Anybody wanna take bets?

In yesterday's poll we asked if you preferred U2 or R.E.M. We got three votes for this one, all for R.E.M.

We're also going to run down a birthday list for the entire week rather than daily. Celebrating birthdays this week, August 12-18, are Suzanne Vega, David Crosby, Jimmy Webb, Belinda Carlisle (Go-Go's), Colin Moulding (XTC), Keven Rowland (Dexys Midnight Runners), and Regine Chassagne (Arcade Fire). Happy Birthday y'all!

The Boys and Girls of Saturday's Radio have also been putting the final touches on the Opera Alley remaster. Opera Alley is our third album and was first released in 2000. It's sounding good and will be available soon! Watch this space!

Since we're now trying a Weekly Music Poll and weekly birthdays we won't be updating the website every morning anymore. Instead we're going to update every Sunday night. However, if anything noteworthy happens during the week we will update the website and news section, so do check back. We'll also note on Twitter and Facebook that we've updated the site, so please follow us there.
