Had a great experience yesterday picking up two 'strangers', Vitor & Carolina, at an off-the-beaten-path Denny's and helping them get to Washington DC. I've never picked up anyone on the road before. 'It's too dangerous', people have told me. Vitor & Carolina are dedicating this part of their lives to experiencing the world. On this trip they started in Buenos Aires and worked their way up & are headed to Canada. Next up is Africa. Simply wonderful. We're now Facebook friends & I'm tremendously enjoying looking at pictures of their travels. Y'know, I think the 21st century is going to be about breaking away from the normal 'work 40-60 hours a week, have a house with a picket fence, vacation two weeks a year, retire' life. We live in a wonderful time and we should make the most of it.

Happy Birthday to John Lodge, Stone Gossard, Paul Cook, and Josh Holloway, my friend Kat Moon, and my niece Bre.

Yesterdays Daily Music Poll asked if you preferred music from the sixties or the seventies, and the results were split down the middle. In the same spirit, today we're asking if you prefer music from the eighties or the nineties. Please vote, it's all in good fun!
